We're proud to share some big news. Zilla Combat Academy is now an official REORG approved gym.
REORG is a UK charity that funds Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for veterans, serving military personnel and emergency services workers. From now on, anyone referred to us through REORG trains at Zilla with their membership fully covered.
What Is REORG?
REORG uses the power of community and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to make a difference. They believe training can help people reconnect with community, rebuild confidence, and open the door to wider support, particularly for those dealing with PTSD, depression, or the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life after service.
The charity was founded by Sam Sheriff MBE, with trustees including Mark Ormrod MBE and Trent Scanlen, and is patroned by Tom Hardy CBE. REORG works with a growing network of approved gyms and academies, backed by major partners including the UFC.
How It Works
Anyone eligible, veterans, serving military, or emergency services personnel, can apply directly through REORG. If accepted, REORG fully funds a 60 day membership to start, with the option to move onto a longer 12 month programme for those who stick with it.
As an approved gym, we now welcome anyone referred to us through that process onto our mats, no cost to them, fully covered by REORG.
Who Is This For?
Worth spelling out, because we've already been asked more than once: this isn't only for ex-forces.
REORG funding covers veterans and anyone currently serving. It also covers emergency services, and that net is wider than most people assume, police officers, firefighters, paramedics and ambulance crew, NHS frontline staff and coastguard. Serving or retired, both count.
